Want to Cook up a Steak at Home? The Butcher Shoppe, Cannon Hill

Alternatively, if you are willing to take matters into your own hands and have a cook-up of your own, we recommend visiting The Butcher Shoppe, Cannon Hill.

Recently ranked as the runner-up for the Courier Mail’s Best Butchers of Brisbane competition, The Butcher Shoppe is family-owned. They have, quite understandably, prided themselves on their exceptional customer service.

From the regular cuts of meat to dry-age beef and a selection of spices, rubs and sauces you’ll be set to go on your steak-perfecting journey.

Hot Tip: Ask the butcher for a whole cut, whether that be a rib fillet, rump or short ribs. They will then ask if it is whole or sliced (however thick or thin you like). This will save you money in the long run, and you can do exactly what you like with it! If you’re lucky, some butchers even offer to store it for you.
